Your Vote Counts Files New Ballot Language to Protect Voter-Approved Initiatives

(May 31, 2011)-Your Vote Counts (formerly known as the Voter Protection Alliance) has filed language with the Missouri Secretary of State to formally change the name of its proposed ballot measure seeking to provide greater protections for voter-approved initiatives. This measure is now called the Your Vote Counts Act, in order to avoid possible voter confusion since a similarly-titled "Voter Protection Act" (Senate Joint Resolution 2) has been referred to the November 2012 ballot by the Missouri legislature.

In response to the continued attempts of a handful of career politicians to overrule the will of Missouri voters, the Voter Protection Alliance has filed a constitutional amendment to provide greater protections for voter-approved initiatives.
